Food photography for Wienerwald: The perfect bite in the picture

Juicy chicken, crispy fries, fresh salads – the food photography for the Wienerwald campaigns from 2018 to 2021 demanded the utmost precision. The images not only had to look appealing, but also be optimised for a simple cropping on a white background. This concept put the focus on the food and ensured a clear, modern look.

The recordings took place directly in a Wienerwald restaurant. All the ingredients were freshly available there, which meant that artificial aids could be avoided. The biggest challenge was to present each dish as appetisingly as it would be served to the customer. French fries soften quickly, salads lose their freshness and the perfect shine of the chicken only lasts for a brief moment. Timing was therefore crucial.

All the details were planned precisely in close consultation with Wienerwald’s creative director. From the optimal lighting to the perfect arrangement of the ingredients – every element had to be just right. This resulted in authentic campaign images that whet the appetite and reflect Wienerwald’s brand image.

The results speak for themselves: natural, unadulterated images that emphasise the quality and freshness of the food. Each photo invites you to take the first bite – and that was precisely the aim.
